New CU change and testing

Good morning all. So, when doing a CU change and installing some new circuits to it would you test all circuits on the new CU or just those additions? I tested all but interested in others views, thoughts and advice.

Are you saying limiting some of the testing to existing circuits?

You should be doing an EICR as part of the CU change to check the existing circuits dont have borrowed neutrals or other gremlins before maybe adding an RCD to any circuit.

You are changing the protective devices for all the circuits so need to make sure that they comply with the relevant max z's to ensure correct disconnection times and as littlespark says incase there are faults that would cause nuisance tripping of the rcd after you have left

If you changed the CU without adding new circuits would you do no testing?

Testing should be carried out on any new circuits and any circuit that is added to or altered?

You have altered every circuit in the installation by fitting a new board and you need to ensure each circuit if fit for continued use before the Cu swap takes place.
