We recently purchased a new fridge and connected it to a different circuit to the one the old fridge used. It keeps tripping the circuit, can anyone advise what may be causing it please?

As mentioned, you need to tell us exactly what is tripping (add photo, if needed). For example, the new socket could actually be on a 6A lighting circuit - not common, but I saw one only last week. Or the new socket could be incorrectly wired (N & E swapped, for example), do other appliances e.g. a kettle work OK in the new socket?

I purchased a new cordless Black & Decker hedge cutter a while back and the battery charger kept tripping the Rcd, I suspected an incorrectly wired plug, my suspicions were confirmed, reversed neutral & earth connection.

Everthing is running fine however when we switch the washer on or plug the iron in to any kitchen socket, the whole bottom floor circuit trips out. I don't think it's related to the fridge specifically.
