Hi All, been lurking here for a while so thought it time to introduce myself. Currently working as a maintenance electrician, toilet unblocker, bearing changer or whatever needs fixing in the factory. Been qualified for 29 years after 4 year industrial apprenticeship and numerous jobs since!!

Welcome aboard. I changed from construction to maintenance a few years back and never regretted it, I now do fluck all except look at a BMS screen and get paid silly money for it lol, you are on the right track.

Boyle’ll fix it for you and you and you and you-oo-oo!

Welcome aboard. I did domestic sparkying for the last 5 years, but got fed up spending my days in hot itchy lofts full of Xmas trees.

So now I a maintenance assistant; so I also spend my days looking at a BMS ipad, walking 5 miles a day around site and get paid silly money (but not in a good way). :)

I’m the same as MDJ, but me and my shift partner did have to wrestle a 1 ft long turd down the pan last week in the ladies loo. On the plus side it was only 1 of 2 jobs we did all 12h shift.

You should come to my place, slave drivers they are. Non stop from the moment you step thru the door.

Those hot, itchy, dusty lofts don't seem all that bad now.
