Hi everyone, just joined the forum. I’m a qualified (on paper) electrician incl inspection and testing, but electrics is not my primary skill or job. I am 17th Ed qualified, but not 18th and I’ve never been part of a comp person scheme.
I’m late 50’s and did the ‘Zero to hero’ condensed course qual in 6 weeks so that I was happy doing my own electrics on some rental properties I owned with the guidance of an electrician friend and any notifiable work being signed off by the council.
I tell you all this because although I am a life long aircraft engineer I am not a life long electrician. I don’t ‘feel’ (poor choice of words?) electrics like you guys will. So when I ask the dumb question in the future please be gentle!
