Hi. I have just joined the forum. I have lived in Brazil since 1975. I am not a professional electrician but have had 35 years experience of industrial installations in a pig farm and 44 years in residential installations, so I have picked up some "baggage" as they say here. Brazil has a lot of quality issues with electricity - plugs that melt down when you connect a 3kW heater for example. I brought UK equipment to Brazil in 1992 for my new house which I finally started building in 2016, so I may have the only house in Brazil with a UK-standard installation. Now I am finalising the installation of a DIY lift in the house, very much a DIY project but with quality and safety in mind. I have just posted a thread asking for help on this. I look foward to sharing ideas and experience with the professionals on this site! Happy Christmas.
