Discuss New Qualifications in the Electrician Courses : Electrical Quals area at ElectriciansForums.net

Honestly mate at least a mugger as the decency to hold you up and take your money ........................... the NICEIC seem to do it by stealth

"Currently there is no need for anyone to update an old qualification. For instance, someone holding a City & Guilds 2391 wouldn’t need to update to the new Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. However, there are advantages to completing the new awards, which have been designed to meet the latest requirements of BS 7671 and the new EICRs"

I have had my 2391 for nigh on 13 yrs now and never once have I been advised that However, there are advantages to completing the new awards, which have been designed to meet the latest requirements of BS 7671 and the new EICRs by an organisation, a customer I have worked for, Uncle Tom Cobbly and all...........................

It makes my teeth curl when I see something like this

It will get worse , wait till the new domestic installer nvq arrives.
dumbed down quals for the fast track freddies.
and i couldnt give a fig for the NIC's latest ramblings either.
:-D

I love the way they dismiss the old quals as a mere 4 digit number compared to the grand and pompous title afforded to the newer ones QUOTE "2391 has been replaced with 'level 3 award in the periodic inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations'"

Skanks the lot of em!
