Got to the good old age of 41, allways worked as a salesman, and then thought sod it need a trade.

Just going to start these two courses over the next couple of weeks.

5 Days Foundation Electrical Course with 2 City & Guilds Unit Certificates

and

5 Days EAL VRQ Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers Course

Are these good courses? Any Advice for a Newbie?

Cheers

Sean

dep on if you just want to do domestics etc the EAL VRQ level 2 all 17 mods is a good start and id do the C & G 2382 17th ed with C & G 2391-10 test & inspection but you will be better getting the new C & G 2392 fundimental principals in testing & inspection this covers work upto 100A more suited to domestics then after 6mths + you will prob have enough exp to move onto the C & G 2391-10 as this is quite a hard one to get and unless you have plenty of exp in testing & inspection you will really struggle.

Hi Sean
Yes i see what your saying now they look like a good start for you and if you can afford also do the 17th ed.
Good luck on your courses and im sure you will enjoy them.

Tony.:)

Thanks for the Help Tony, Going to do the first two, try and get some work and then when i have saved some more pennies do the 17th as well.
