Hello to everyone on this forum.

I am new to the forum and was really hoping to get some advice. I am looking into a career change and want to take on some courses to ultimately give me the irght qualifications and knowledge into this field.

So far I have looked at city and guilds qualifications domestic installer etc.

What would be a good starting point?
i.e

Which course to take first as an intro

followed what else?

Many thanks in advance

The C&G 2365 plus AM2 and NVQ3 (from 2357) or the C&G 2357 are the standard courses to take to become an electrician.
Try calling some local colleges to see what they can offer that would suit your availability.

You could also search this forum for something like "looking to train as an electrician" and you will find many threads about this topic.

As per post 2..... If you are looking along the lines of a few weeks/days here and a few weeks/days there to become qualified, then your best to think about a different career change direction.

Only the qualifications mentioned in post 2 (along with experience gained from a mentor) will bring you to becoming a ''Qualified Electrician'' Oh, there is No such thing as a ''domestic installer'' no matter what you read to the contrary, you are either a qualified electrician or you're not!!
