Hi
About to start DEI course in Nov.
A change in career as one of the thousands being redundant from BA.

Did Avionics apprenticeship 78-82 BTECs & Higher BTECs (then lost our jobs due to recession) Inc working on VC10s, 707, Concorde and 747s and ended up as Cabin crew 82-‘20, also did lots of training new crew/leadership courses etc.

Now I want to just work “for me” ?

so the knowledge I have is sound basic electrical theory, but sure I’ll learn loads on here, know I won’t finish the course as a fully fledged sparks, (I remember the same with an instructor saying the first 18mths of the apprenticeship was just ‘how to look at the problem, and a way of working’)
Done bits n bobs on homes I’ve owned, look forward to improving my knowledge with your help ?

those qualifications mean you are a competant person and intelligent but won't help as a spark, I suggest getting a job as a mate and learning the trade from there, IMHO 18 months is a decent time to learn the basics but even 18 months will only make you semi skilled at best, all the very best of luck to you though
