Hi all,

just a quick introduction - and a bit of background info on myself.
I'm 34 years old, always had an interest in electrical work despite having mainly worked in totally unrelated jobs in transport/warehousing management.
Gained a good ammount of electrical experience (and carpentry/bricklaying/tiling/decorating, etc etc etc) in late nineties/early noughties prior to needing to be "Part P" registered - as I was doing "distressed" properties up both to resell and to rent out.
Since part P came along, have gained the 2381 and 2391, and have become registered with an approved "Part P" domestic installer scheme.
Currently still working in my usual weekday job, and doing electrical jobs at the weekend - to build up more experience before hopefully going permanent as an electrician.
I feel very confident at tackling new installations/rewires/additions to installations and this sort of work but i definitely am benefiting and learning a lot from any "fault finding" jobs that i do - i'm sure with this sort of work you never stop learning.

Glad to find this forum which appears to be an absolute treasure trove of useful information from what i've read so far, and hello to everyone,

Cheers

Phil
