Next step!

Hi first post!
Ive been thinking of doing another course to progress in my electrical career! ive been through an apprenticeship and got my certificates! ive also done the 2394/5 course last year and I'm looking to do the 2396 next year! my first question is, is the 2396 really worth doing? I'm looking at coming of the tools into management so I'm looking at doing a course that would help me into this as my employer isn't willing to help me with it ill be funding it and will be working full time so carnt do full time courses.
any help is appreciated

Yes the design course is worth doing it's difficult and the project takes a lot of your time up but well worth doing it also gives you the jib title of technician which allows you to become a supervisor manager

Cheers for the reply! Ive booked the 2396 for early next year. Did you do the course and if you did what course did you go onto next? Im struggling to find whats next!

Yes I done the course no more courses for me until the 18 th comes out I have 2391 2400 2377 and graded a jib electrical technician other than doing a hnc there are no more that appeal to me your design qualification is an equivalent grade to a hnc anyway

Cheers mate! Ive recently passed my 2394/5 so im looking to do some more courses looks like ill do my 2396 then see what happens! I want to gain as much grades as i can so i more employable when the firm im at calls it a day!

I think the answer to that would lie in where you want to be and what you want to do in your career.
