Discuss Nic? Eca? Napit? in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Instead of trawling through all these sites for prices does anyone have the domestic installers price (yearly fee) from the top of their head. Oh and the pros and cons of which one to use??

Any help appreciated

Regards

Stroma is the cheapest at about ÂŁ250.00

The rest have a "cartel" of about ÂŁ450.00

Pays your money, takes your choices!

Swansea must have had an English Labc inspector imported, because in the rest of Wales they hardly know that Part p exists
The cheapest option would be if you can get by without any of them

I'm with NIC most customers have heard of them whereas NAPIT etc Joe Public have no idea about.

Lots of criticisms on here about all but you need to belong so make a choice.

I would say I've heard some snobbery about NIC over the rest.

Please don't smirk about the underlined comment,it was possibly meant to be included in the jokes thread

Hi all its my first post,

i am with the nic, they are all about the same price i think, if you go with napit you will need indem insurance, not sure how much, but they are all joining together, elecsa eca and nic, the electrical safety council all on one data base. they are all just money making schemes though, good thing nic are launcing this week though is the ÂŁ1 per certificate done online so no more books etc

Are you still hand writing certs - so out of date surely!

afraid so murdoch, if we went electronic all the lads would be after ipads, they can do the new nic certs on their iphones

I Have been with them a long time rick and find them to be ok, i did threaten to leave the other year when they tried to charge me 538 quid for a canellation even though i had given them 10 days notice,

I am fully against people doing jobs when they ain't qualified matey.
I got them all don't worry about that.
We used to be with Nic a good while back but wanted to know why people are choosing who they are with.
Money isn't an issue but at the same time don't want to get ripped off
