Has anyone done the 2391 online course?

Just wondering if it's any good or not

If you pass such a course, will you recieve anything from the C&G stating that you have passed?

It's called a blended learning course. All the course work, learning side is done online and then you have to go to a centre for 2 days for exam prep and exams.

Seems like a good idea because you can do it at your own pace etc, but can't help thinking that it can't be as good as someone teaching you in person.

The online way maybe convenient, but a CD or website will not give you all the tricks and tips etc you will need to get you through. Nor will it be able to answer some of the searching questions you will want answering. Its all well and good sat at home doing things at your own pace, but you really need the input from not only the instructor, but also the other candidates on the course, 8 heads are better than 1. A room full of like minded people can come up with most of the answers. I would opt for the full course, i would not want to turn up at some assessment centre to do the practical assessment with no prior knowledge of the person testing me, in a strange environment possibly using unfamiliar test instruments amongst total strangers.

Good points made there. I've been thinking along the same lines.

Think i'll book myself into a conventional course.

I see. sorry did mine over 10 weeks night school so had a practical most weeks over months. Much better!
