Discuss NICEIC email on publicity campaign in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Do you not get issued with a membership ID card once you join these scam providers??

I ask, because as the bottom of that email was this little gem: To prove you are NICEIC registered get your ID card today by logging in to the secure area and applying online.

Somewhere else on the NICEIC site the cost of this ID card was 4.50 +VAT So once again it's, ... lets let's make a few more quid out of our members.

Same with ELECSA, the default card doesn't have a photo, you have to pay extra for that (ever little bit helps ;)).

Sooooo, ...that basically means the NICEIC don't really have too much of a concern for public safety at all, otherwise these Photo IDs would be the norm, rather than making it's members actually pay another fee, to comply with their own new marketing campaign A.S.K.!! What a complete shower of S**ts....

From what i can make of it then, this new marketing campaign feigning concern for homeowners safety, can't actually work without it's member's paying them extra monies. Now that's what i call marketing!!! lol!! You lot must be stark raving mad to pay for these photo IDs. This may back fire on the NICEIC when a homeowner asks to see an electricians ID and he shows them one without a photo. They could be promptly show the door for having in their mind, ..a ''fake'' ID!! ...lol!!!

What surprises me most, is that they are only charging a fiver for them... Maybe their 'Marketing Engineer' :chinese: told them asking a tenner was a step too far.

All that will happen is that the people that are pretending to be NICEIC, will simply get themselves FAKE IDs. How is Mrs Bloggs from No 10 going to know the difference??
