changed a consumer unit today from old wylex board to new 17th dual rcd, when i was stripping out i noticed no earth in the lights cable. what would be the best way around this re-wire or can you fit class 2 fittings and switches.

thanks :D

or you can leave as is shove sticker on saying no earth and issue Danger notice with recomendation to remove metal stuff and change to plastic!

Forgive me as I have not been involved in domestic electrical wiring for sometime and not yet upto 17th edition so here is a question - if my upstairs lighting has no earth would protecting the circuit with an RCBO mean that it would meet 17th Edition regs??

It would have overcurrent protection and earth leakage protection - wouldnt it?
