occasionally when testing I get the noise signal coming up on my tester this stops me getting a reading, sometimes I think its a poor connection with probes and I've had it with induced voltages from other circuits anyone else had similar and what else can happen for this noise icon to come on tester

Hi - yes I get that sometimes on the low current (RCD non trip) loop impedance measurement. By the time I've adjusted the cables and said a few choice phrases it normally works. Or there's the alternate test method which allows full current test to be used :) .

if you have any tech issues or queries about the kewtech kit, give alan towler a call at kewtech, hes the tech help guy and very helpful.
his number is on the kewtech website under ask alan...

I have a Kewtech stand alone loop tester with ATT and it is a piece of dodahs. The noise notice seems a permanent feature so I always ditch the rcd/rcbo and use it with the ATT off.
