Hi, I am currently studying my 2330 level 2 and I'm struggling to find someone who will take me on as a trainee so I can start my NVQ 3.
Are there any other routes to getting my NVQ than gaining full time employment? Would it be possible to build a portfolio by just going around with an electrician on my days off from work and how long would it take?
Thank you.

You dont need to be in full time employment. You can be part time. if you do your quickstep online index i think you pay them a fee and you can take aslong as you like, most people i know who have done it this way have taken them around 6-9 months working on it in the evenings and weekends. I think There's certain qualifications needed before you start this.
