Hi there, I am on my last year of my apprenticeship and have started the nvq part. Long story short I want to start writing up my evidence of work (with provided pictures of me carrying out the work), however I can't figure out a structure to follow to write out a job.

If anyone is currently doing/has done the same or similar qualification, sharing your structure/work/examples would be helpful.

P.S. the nvq is with EAL, my portfolio is accessible online on 'Smart Assessor' & my training officer is with a company called JTL.

The structure and timeline should have been put into place for you from day one. I suggest you contact your training officer for advice.

If it was down to you; how would you record it?

Me? I'd have method statements, scope of works, pictures, minor works paperwork (even if not actually required), witness statements and invoices.

With the above I could demonstrate any part of the work I did giving reference to the various papers when needed.

"I changed a light fixture of Mrs Jones last week, here you can see before/after pictures, the method statement and scope of works where you can see what was done, in what order, inclusions and exclusions from the job, an updated schematic of the area showing the changes, a copy of the minor works given to the customer and copies of invoices/receipts etc.

They've hard pushed to argue with thatich evidence, that is wasn't your own work.
