Discuss Old C certificate question in the Electrician Courses : Electrical Quals area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi, I achieved passes in 2 parts of the old C certificate (project & regs) I missed out on the 3rd part (principles) & never returned to complete it. My question is, do I need to fully complete todays equivalent (2391-20) or is there a section in place of the old 'principles' that I can take to obtain the technician qualification?

Many Thanks

I think that would be a question for the City and Guilds to answer as the C cert was discontinued in 2007 I think

I'm not sure there is an equivalent to the old C course, back in 2006 I heard the main reason they were discontinuing it was the pass rate had fallen that low it was no longer a viable course

Im sure 2391 has an element of RPL attached to it, best bet is to contact a training provider and enquire, if they don't have thr course handbook then you're looking at £50 for a reprint of it from C&G
