Cannot ever seem to find better than "Powertoolmate". The cheapest and amazing courier .Today I was told delivery will be 12.45pm .This was at 8 am

New Dewalt 18v grinder turns up at 12.46 !! .Only ordered Sunday so very happy

I dont mind how the thread pans out .... :) !!

I've used FFX and powertoolmate before, can't fault either. Online electrical wholesalers ive tried including some mentioned In this forum however have been a disappointment.

Powertool Mate, DVS, Terrier Tools & Howe Tools tend to be the companies I buy from most often. Sometimes prices on a particular item are high, but one of the above tends to provide the best option online.

FFX charge a hefty delivery fee to NI for most items, so generally don't work out so well. I have bought from them a few times and couldn't complain, but the last order was a 110V Metabo chaser which took forever to arrive. It eventually transpired that they never had stock and were relying on an delivery from Metabo, which didn't contiain any chasers. I'd be cautious about using them in future as I don't like being sold goods that aren't available from stock, unless this is made clear from the outset. Powertool Mate delivered a triple blade one day after it was ordered and Howe Tools came through with an even better price on the chaser than the offer price from FFX. Wasting weeks on an order that was never going to arrive has stuck in my craw.

There's a delivery fee now?? It's over a year since I've bought anything and it was free then. I retract anything nice I said about them

There's been a delivery surcharge for quite some time - perhaps small items sent by Royal Mail don't attract it, but heavy goods certainly do. I don't mind this with very large or heavy items, as it clearly will cost more for NI delivery, but courier options exist at decent rates for the size and weight of most power tools.

AbbeyPower in Shrewsbury are also very very good .And i always pop in when there .
I stumbled across them recently. I thought it looked a fascinating shop, but I had an unsympathetic family with me!
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely go back now you've said that.
