Only 1 Fridge door tripping electrics help please

Hi all Hotpoint American style fridge freezer model FFA40X keeps tripping the electrics not the lights when the left hand door is opened. It doesn’t do it if the ugh hand side door is opened. It trips if both doors are opened at the same time too. The fridge has been tested and all good. What could be causing the left hand door only on the fridge to do this. Any help appreciated thanks in advance

Sounds like the door switch that brings on the interior light. Faulty lamp or faulty switch.

Change the lamp and see if that helps, or use something to hold in the switch.​

Who has "tested" the fridge? A Hotpoint engineer?

Remove lamp, try again, report back.

How was it tested, was the left hand door open? It could be a chafing cable that only touches at a certain point in the door movement.

there was a recall on out hotpoint. it's one of those with a demister panel flapin the left hand door. look atr the top of theleft door, hinge side. there's a flex going into the door. id chafes and shorts to the casing.phone hotpoint. they fix for free.

Whom tested it ?
And how ?
What test did they perform ?

hotpoint don't test if that is the fault.they just replace the door.
