Hey guys i was looking at, the onsite guide and the tables with in it and I am finding them a little confusing to read/interperet. Can someone clarify this for me? Specifically table 7.1(i) the installation methods i can't seem to find them in the bs 7671 regs book, or they dont match up in both 2011 editions.. anyhelp would be much appreciated :)

OSG tables 7.1(ii) and 7.1(iii) give you definitions of the installation methods used in table 7.1(i). These relate to methods for T+E cable.
The clue is where is says refer to note 2, and note 2 refers to tables 7.1(ii) and 7.1(iii) ;)

Alternatively appendix 4 in BS7671 has all the descriptions of installation methods and derating factors.

Just for your info,

Installation reference methods 101,102,103 and 104 are for flat twin and earth only. All the other methods mentioned in APPX 4 are for other types of cables.

Cheers.........Howard
