Hi guys hope you can help!

This might be a stupid question but in your opinions do 32A 3ph IP67 sockets to feed some outdoor jet wash units at a car wash require RCD protection?

Doing a quote for a bloke who's shall we say a bit "careful" with his money. The integrated ones are about £300 a throw and I'm not too keen on the idea of people messing near the DB to reset if I fit upstream.

Any advice would be very gratefully received!

Yes they will need RCD protection, and no, they don't need to be of the integrated outlet type!! I have no idea why the integrated commando type outlets cost so much, they are a complete rip-off in my opinion!! lol!!

If your that worried about about the DB, can you not fit a separate RCD enclosures above the sockets, ...may not look as nice but will probably be half the cost!! lol!! It's either that, or the bloke will just have to bite the bullet and cough-up for the integrated RCD socket outlets!! How many outlets are we talking about here, 2, 3 maybe? Almost £900 before you start, if were talking 3 outlets!! After adding in costs for the rest of the installation and your labour, were talking crazy money for what is at the end of the day, ....just 3 outlets!! lol!!
