Outside oil boiler - Rotary switch??????

Hi,

I'm currently wiring an outside oil boiler and have sited a FCU on the inside wall with a 2.5 t+e to an adapt box and from there, a braided flex to the boiler.

Does it need a rotary switch instead of the adapt box?

By an adapt box do you mean exterior junction box? You still need some means of isolation either rotary or switch

Even though its isolated on the inside wall by means of a FCU ?

its easier for maintenance to provide some form of isolation at the boiler. a socket would do.

Isolator near the boiler on exterior is a required for isolation in the event of a fire i believe. Think its a Oftec reg rather then electrical but could be wrong. I always put them in as good practice if nothing else.
