Buzz Lightbulb

Briefly, need to install an outside light sited at the front door, not PIR activated.
I can take the supply from the upstairs lighting circuit down the wall into the hallway and take it through the wall outside to the fitting. I need a switch near the door too.

Challenge is to abide by the 17th Edition regs, so it's the routing of the cables that I need some help with please guys. I could bring the supply down the wall, within the 150 mm from the corner, but it's where I go from there where I could do with some guidance. Can I channel into the plaster, horizontally across the wall (from the corner of the wall) to the hole (near the front door) for taking the cable outside to the lamp? And where can the switch go in order to abide by the regs? Ideally it's preferred to be near the existing switch on the wall near the door.

Any thoughts chaps?

Cheers for any help - asap please ;-)

Chris

Many thanks guys. Reading through the OSG for the 23rd time, I realised there is a vital "or" after several of the options which gives us more flexibility.

Thanks again for the time you put into your replies. Much appreciated.
