Went to look at a fault earlier, oven tripping the RCD. Opened the oven to check the element as that was my initial thought, 2 of the wee crimped connections were all burnt and just snapped off. Is there any point in trying to re crimp then or is it better just to get a new oven?? It’s an old oven

Uninsulated crimps only!
Well, you could use insulated, but it would all melt off.

ovens don’t normally have a lot of spare cable to play with, and last thing you want is the crimped end being pulled back when the element is fixed in.
You could try, but it may be false economy and the oven may need replaced anyway.
