Hi, new poster here so hopefully I've put this in the right place!

I live in a large block of flats and have noticed that none of the panel heaters or heating rails in my flat are working. I believe they are all on the same circuit, as my consumer unit has a switch for heaters- this hasn't been tripped and is on, but none of the heating units or the heating display (dimplex pw4) turns on. I've also checked the heaters in the communal hallway, and none of them seem to be working either.

I assume I need to call an electrician, but I have no idea how this is likely to be wired- if the heaters in the hallway don't turn on either is this likely to be a wider problem? If so it would fall under the freeholder's responsibility- I obviously don't want to pay myself if the issue is with the whole building! Or similarly if it's a possibility that there is an overall building switch for this circuit maybe they could look in to it.

I have tried to check with neighbours but no-one seems to be in today.

Any advice much appreciated- I obviously understand it's hard to tell without knowing how the building is wired, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with issues similar to this.

Thanks

Hi & welcome to the forum. As you live in a large block of flats, I imagine there is a facilities management office you can call to report such issues. Particularly since you have noted communal areas where services are also out, this issue appears to be a premises issue, not localised to your flat or your equipment.
