Hello All.
Not been on here for a while, hoping you guys can help me with this one.
We installed 185mm single copper core aluminium armoureds (2*185mm per line conductor each run 170m) to an MCC feeder. The intend was to use the aluminium armourings as the main CPC.
My question is, how can i work out the CSA of the armouring for the CPC?:confused:

Thanks in advance

There can be issues when using single core cables. Namely circulating currents between sheaths of the cables and eddy currents being generated where they pass through a steel glandplate or enclosure.

See regs 521.5.2 and 523.10

Thanks bomjac, I have installed non-ferrus glandplates in both MCC`s, the customer did suggest a wooden plate...... was a good chuckle for 5mins.
