As the title really had my elecsa assessment this afternoon and passed with no observations and no non conformances! Thank you to everyone that has given me advise over the last couple of weeks!

Come on, are you really that surprised?? ..As biff said, basically just means your check has cleared and the cash is now sitting in ELECSA's coffers... lol!!!

Oh there's some bitter sparks on here lol.

Well done and pay off your own house from the proceeds from other people's houses :)

Renewal is in 12 months time, better start charging that extra ten quid a week to pay for it. Who's getting ripped off? Not the customer as the government would never stand for that.

There are some bitter sparks out there! But u also have to understand that these scams or schemes whatever you want to call it aren't letting Dave from the pub in so clearly it's not just a case of the monies !

Are you for real? I've seen work by Nic Approved contractors that blind Doris's dog from down the pub done.

They don't let dave in because dave doesn't give one, and just does whatever he like, cash in hand.

It is just a case of the monies. Try getting Elecsa to look into some non registered chancer doing notifiable work, they ain't interested one bit.

Yes mate I am for real, that's my opinion on it and everyone is entitled to their own! I'm not going to get into an arguement with some one getting all big Infront of their computer screen , at the end of the day I am happy with the outcome, I put this on here to say thank you for the advice that some of the members have given me , not for slagging by people like you, if you can't deal with that and feel you have to slag it off then do me a favour and **** off!

Yes , you put a lot of effort in to getting a smooth assessment, it probably says a lot about your standards. As i said - well done.

Rauer I am one of the bitter brigade, but my bitterness is towards the setting up of part p in the first instance and secondly the behaviour of all of the scams since its inception

I am not bitter, however, towards anyone who has worked hard and achieved their goal,I would like to congratulate you on your success and all the best with any future efforts to get on in this trade

I agree , no good shooting the messenger.

Des I understand the bitterness and I also think its is somewhat unessecery but I also think if it stops some people trying to do it as DIY and leaving it dangerous and in the process giving us guys work, I have no problem for it, but it needs to be policed better! As other members have commented , I have put alot of effort into this, maybe it showed to the assessor maybe it didn't , but thank you for you well thought out comment!

well, id just like to say well done, i passed my 3rd asses with elecsa last week, as i new i would. (dont know anyone who has ever failed)
i am all for part p as without it, i would loose work. i sub for a small kitchen company, their fitters are competant to do the electrical work but the company employ me because im part P

You will find most fitters can do electrical work to a "fashion"

Unfortunatly /fortunately for me I was trained by an old school spark who was an absolute perfectionist! And I try to keep those high standards, again probably does me over but also people appreciate it is that I have a conscience and I always go that extra mile but some people appreciate that and from time to time I do get rewarded by doing so!
