So just out of curiosity and to keep it anonymous so no one gets in any trouble :90:

Have you ever carried out work notifiable to Building control but not actually notified them due to the costs involved.

Yes, but surely then you have to price their registration and insurance fees into you jobs therefore it costs more then £1.50 per job?
 
I am a member of the niceic, its a good marketing tool as thier name is well known and it opens up work from people who will only deal with niceic registered sparks,
we all need insurance and i don't get it from them,

the cost to notify is £1.50 and with a warentee from the niceic another £1.50, another good marketing tool.

I am also not interested in giving my customers half a job or not informing them fully about what is required and what is not as i feel that would be dishonest and cause problems when they tried to sell there property and thats not me.
