Discuss pat testing dishwasher in the Electrical Appliances Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not sure to be honest, my tester has settings for all sorts of different items and it passes or fails! I don't do too much PAT testing because its rather boring.

modern dishwashers ( unlike mine which has 2 arms and a bottle of fairy ) have electrinic modules which usually gives rise to a small amount of leakage. 1Meg. is good.

perhaps his kettle's on the gas ring and he does his toast over the fire.
