If I have a Class II equipment and someone cut the plug and replaced for a new plug with earth pin. Is it will be pass or fail.
Or you have to replace for lead set ?

Doesn't matter the new plug has an earth pin. Did the old one have a plastic earth pin and why was it replaced.

Can’t see a problem with that.
Lots of class 2 stuff has a plug with earth pin, normally with 2 core flex

Is this question relating to moulded 13amp plug as fitted by manufacturer verses standard 13amp plug?

Cause if neither plug had /have an earth pin it would be a struggle to find anywhere to plug it in.
Yes it was moulded plug but someone cut and put the new 13 A plug with earth pin

For me if is the II class equipment and someone had a fault on the moulded plug. What should do replace the for new moulded plug with a cord like was before.
Because this will be comply with a definition of II class equipment

The appliance is Class II and manufacturers produce moulded plugs with plastic pins as it costs less and is only required so it can be plugged into a socket.

Look up the definition of class II equipment in the ISITEE code of practice. It does not preclude the use of a plug with a metal earth pin for class II equipment.

You've obviously made up your mind already, so not sure why you asked the question in the first place.
