Hi i have a perodic inspection with an old 3 phase wylex fuseboard with mcbs to bs3871 type 2 fitted the 3 phases are in rows ie banks of ten red/ yellow/ blue, there are a couple of 3 phase items fitted to board split between rows ie on single phase mcbs! Would this be a code 1? Any ideas, advice would be great:confused:

BS7671 530.3.1... refers to multiphase devices having all poles operate togetehr. Yr 3871 are no longer current and so I would think they need changing

3P isolations should operate on all three phases together. I beleieve Sct 11 and 12 and maybe 15 of the Electricity At Work Regs apply

Thankyou desertboots for your reply, rang the niceic tech line today and they said it was fine no probs it being connected like that! Must have got through to the new boy!:D I also rang an old boss with plenty of Knowledge and he said about the same as you thankyou.
