Discuss Please help...at the end of my tether with transformer/Ring in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Think....where are you going to connect the earth at the transformer?
Ok don’t shoot me but given there is no earth on the transformer nor I’ve seen any other ring transformer pics with an earth I would’ve cut it as there’s nowhere to put it. I just assumed I’d need it at the plug. I’ve read the trans doesn’t need it. Again not saying what I’ve read is accurate.
 
Maybe the OP would be as well to buy a fig8 mains lead, and chop end off ? at least that would be suitable cable and wired ok at plug end, can be had for less than £5 on eBay or Amazon
 
If we have taught one person how to wire a plug safely, then we should pat ourselves on the back and say well done everybody.

I think one of our other forum members has the lurpak butter guy as his avatar, so youll have to find something else.
