I'm new here and can't figure it out... I want to post a question in the DIY forum but it says private... Although it also says DIYers welcome. Any tips? Thanks!

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]I am trying to replace an obsolete EFG 205 Thermostat (3 terminals) with a EGO 320 Thermostat (2 terminals).[/FONT]

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]There were three wires connected to the original thermostat:[/FONT]
[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Orange (to timer)[/FONT]
[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]White (to thermal cutout I THINK?)[/FONT]
[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Yellow (to main PCB)[/FONT]
[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]
[/FONT]
[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]The new thermostat only has 2 terminals, so what connections should I make?[/FONT]

for the DIY section, you'll need approval from a moderator. this should be sometime this evening after din dins. meanwhile try and get some photos of both . old one in situ.
 
I think your best course of action is to find a local "bod" who does appliance repairs and outline the problem before they come to you....

Out of interest what have "Stoves" recommended?
