Hi all,
Our electrician cancelled and the pool pump installer is coming Friday so I need to do it myself. Not a big deal, very simple, straight run, I just need advice.
The pump requires 40A, single phase, 50A recommended and 60A Max. We have two 150A panels 60 feet down the same wall so I'd like to run along the wall in some form of conduit.
Not sure about a few things.
First, do I need a fused disconnect at the heater end - the heater is around the corner about 20 feet from the pool.
Second, the entire run is outside. Is THHN OK?
Third, I'd like to make it a 50A run but if I need a fused disconnect then all that Home Depot has is 60A. What size wire?
Fourth, what conduit should I run it in?
Thank you very much
