Switch off. MCB off. What's occoring with this security light. Admittedly dim, but still illuminated with seemingly no wiggly amps.

I get 5v AC across L&N.
If these LEDs get any more sensitive / efficient they will be lighting with the RF from a nearby TAXI / Transmitter / Phone ...
(a bit like the after glow of fluorescents ) ... If its a safe voltage , and earthed .. is it really of concern .. If not due to dampness ?

.. If its a farmer tell him ..It's Free Electricity ..!
(and will not wear it out appreciably faster at such a low intensity)

don't tell a farmer that. he'll be pluging in his milking machine.

Ah Maplin. I remember when they were a component shop and not a toy shop. Their catalogue was full of component datasheets. I must be getting old. They are back online but nothing like they used to be.

Absolutely. The amount of data in semiconductor section was amazing. And don't forget the artwork on the covers!
