So I just got a subwoofer in my truck and I want to wire a strip of led lights to flash with the bass, but at the same time I want to be able to just turn them on and off at full brightness. Im wondering if there is something I can buy that has two power inputs that I can hard wire into, and output for the led strips, and then a switch that can change from the bass power level or the straight on and off power.

Hi Jack and welcome to the forum Why don’t you see if they make a timer for 12vdc which could possibly be set to come on with base and blink and you will probably have to add a monitory switch to control them

Hi Jack, what you want is called a changeover switch or single pole double throw switch.
Any auto electrical shop could sell you one. It will have three terminals, probably called 1-2-C or NO-NC-COM or similar.
You would wire the bass controlled wire to one contact, the straight 12V power to another, and the common terminal to your LED lights.

**there was a switch diagram here, but the forum software collapses multiple spaces so the arrangement was wonky

EDIT: As Megawatt said, you will also need something to switch the signal to the LED lights in time with the bass. Some amps may have a specific output, I would talk to whoever supplied your sub or an auto-audio shop for more info.
