Hi. I have a standard ish electric meter located outside our utility in an external recessed meter and a consumer unit in the utility. Ive just purchased a pv optimiser from Dimplex but the ct clamp is very small, say less than 10mm. The only place I can clamp it is on the tails as per the picture and and the clamp won’t close as the tails are just over 10mm thick. I’ve spoken to Dimplex and they don’t provide any other clamps. Question, am I stuffed or is there another way around this. Pics of cu and meter housing attached.

Any thoughts welcome.

The clamp does not fit around the cable you have circled. It goes around the supply line conductor within the consumer unit.

In the meter cupboard it will be the one with the red tape on it at the meter. Where are you fitting the optimiser.

Probably needs to be fitted within the consumer unit where some of the outer grey sheath may have been removed so will have a smaller diameter.
