Hi
Im a install solar for a small company and a new customer has asked about devices that put any export power into the immersion instead of back into the grid, have looked at several devices like solarimmersion and they say you just clip onto the main incoming tails, put it on a new 16A circuit and connect to the line conductor of the immersion in the CU and that's it no need to adapt the existing circuit.
But surely you would have to remove the thermostat or timer on the immersion circuit as any export energy can only feed in when the immersion is on.
I know this might be a simple question but it will be the first time I've installed done of these and just thought id check
