Hi, could any tell me which qualifications are needed by the NICEIC in order for me to undertake domestic periodic testing and inspection. I am an NICEIC registered domestic installer. Thanks

But don't forget that as long as you are competent, you can carry out periodic inspections without a scheme provider's guarantee!

The 2391-10 is generally regarded as proof of competence to carry out periodic inspections.

In my opinion competence is not just about a qualification but a whole list of other factors, experience being one of them, which makes it difficult to prove outright.

I would agree with you on that, however competence has to be proved and I personally believe that 2391 should be the absolute bare minimum in proving at least some level of competence.

It's the Memorandum of Guidance on the EAWR 1989, a downloadable HSE publication explaining how the EAWR can be interpreted.
