English Literature O'level grade A
English Language O'level, grade A
a few others as well but thought those might be relevant on this thread:innocent:.
The other relevant ones can all be seen on my checkatrade profile, although there are plenty of others not on there

I'll try a different approach;

I don't have a single GCSE.
I haven't got any C&G's beginning with a 2
I haven't even got 17th.

I've been employed working with electricity for most of my working life.
I haven't picked up my bus pass, yet.

I must agree with snowhead. I tend to rate those members who consistently give accurate and considered advice over the months, rather than giving shoot-from-the-hip opinions. I rarely look up a poster's quals, but more likely to look at their previous posts. There are many who can mug up for the exams but struggle when faced with real world problems.

If anyone really needs to know mine, there's something on my forum profile and some on my website.

Christ you mean you can now do a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 5 weeks now:cry_smile::speechless::nono:
Well, if you take drinking time out of the equation, I probably did mine in about 5 weeks.

I've got a certificate for a 300 ft bungee jump over Tetleys brewery showground in Leeds....but that was'nt as scary as all the interest-only and buy-to-let mortgages out there up for revision this year......:joker:

I've got grade B in O Level Scripture. (R.E.)
Possibly the most useless qualification there is.

The word you're looking for is experiEnce .......... NOT experiAnce.

(One of my qualifications is in English Language BTW.)

I have that too !!

NOT useless at all ..... I used it to great effect to pi$$ off my ex in-laws who were very strict Methodists and who thought I - a beer-swilling, illegal substance smoking, agnostic Rock 'n' Roll band member - wasn't good enough for their Sunday School Teacher daughter. :devil2:

Likewise. Yet as a vocal atheist I am more likely to be in a position where I have to defend my opinions than an agnostic might. RE is important - but it is truly bizarre that it was taught to me as if it were as real as maths or science.

I have all the qualifications I need and plenty more that I don't. Not that it matters. Some of the best tradesmen I have ever met have virtually no qualifications at all. The most knowledgeble spark I have ever met has zero 'qualifications'.

The inevitable corollary point is that I know plenty of 'qualified' sparks that are, frankly, dangerous. And I really do mean plenty.

yep, competency isn't all about owning bits of paper, but unfortunately it seems thats the way it's going. You need certificates even to get a job cutting the grass these days!

Your thinking what I'm thinking some Pv forum members on here are not sparks
tbh, I wouldn't class myself as a spark as such either, though I've got the relevant base level qualifications (part p, 17th etc), and did a fair amount of sparkies mate type stuff when working rigging up outdoor festival sites and the like between getting trained in solar in 2000, and there actually being any work in the field.

I'm more of a renewables specialist who knows enough about electrics to do what I need to do for that specific task, but wouldn't want to go wiring up a factory or something. I've got 2 time served sparks working for us who do 95% of the electrical work for us though.
