Discuss quality workmanship I've come across. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Admittedly,it appears poor, but it's primary function is shown by testing...any readings for that?

It's gonna send the discussion in a different direction,if it's less than a single digit...lots of pretty boxes out there, with a three digit Ra :)

That's true, and I've done quite a few of them. :D

And oddly you usually get a much better reading from that than your new 8 foot deep coupled 5/8" rod, so leave the old one connected too. :)

I have seen one bolted to the bottom of an Anderson shelter, which,to be fair, was just less than three digits...

Another, which tested out fine, for many years, turned out to be lugged and Denso-taped,to a redundant steel, gas branch section, spanning two driveways. According to the house holder, the Transco lads, left the section open, for the spark, after upgrading the supply to plastic :)

There is a underground oil pipeline, which runs under me pals land, close to my house....bet it would give my own TN-S a run for it's money...anyone got a 24" constant-pressure clip...sweatin' might be an issue...;)

Stop being soft, 10mm drill, blob of silicone, M12 tap and get a lug fitted.

It's important enough for them to survey it every month,by helicopter, and they send the "pig" through, every now and then...soooo...I will go for the dovetail scope slots, and a scope-clamp + lug...or rechargeable stud-welder,and M8 stud

I remember watching an outfit at a company i did some work for,who come to fit security covers to the bulk fuel tank,to curb the theft of their diesel...mainly by their own drivers

It was full, with 7000 litres of red,and they did 30 to 40 spot welds, with an old MIG,to mount the brackets,on 3mm steel, with all that fuel on the other side...Russian roulette ... but no leaks
