Hi

I am trying g to fill in the Electrical Installation Condition Report, section J. my question is regarding checking the boxes in the section Main protective Conductors. If I have a high value for main protective conductors say to incoming water. What happens to the box Connection / continuity verified for main provide bonding conductor? Do I put X on connection verified or do I put a tick in the connection verified? And then off course I ll put X on the box for incoming to water service.

The installation is TN-S, Domestic.

Many thanks.

if the bonding conductors exist and you can confirm this , then you put a tick in the verified box.

if the conductors are damaged , undersized or any other problem , then record this in the defects section , but still tick the box to say they are there.

So what happens to the box for incoming water and incoming gas. Do i tick them as well if there was a fault or do i put X?

you put x if it doesn't exist, you tick if it's there, you put N/A if t isn't applicable, if it is there then tick and if theres a problem then make a note about it in the area asking about defects etc, simples

Agreed, if the connection is there then you tick the box. You may want to make an observation if the reading doesnt make to magical 0.05 ohms once you have considered all the factors that could effect the reading (e.g. length of cable run. x-sectional area etc ... )
