Discuss R1 R2 jump leads in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

That is not something we advertise as there are so many different test leads available. Give us a call on 0113 248 9966 and we can help you out with a price for those test leads. We will of course offer you the 5% on those as well.

Got the R1 R2 jump leads next day,Thanks.Don't know if anyone else uses them much but I think they should save a lot of fiddling with terminal blocks when testing a ring main.

i just bough some croc leads from ebay! 10 for £2.99!! so far im left with about 2! one vaporised and others fell apart! but only used for dead test now! lol...!

Well anyway I am very pleased with the ones I bought.Really strong alligator spring clips which won't slip off.

Nothing wrong with buying decent kit mate, and thanks for the info and link to website. just that some of us are tightarses, and would rather struggle so we can afford an extra beer.

you turn power OFF!!

Connect one end to Earth Bar and other to your circuit "live" cable then go to furthest point with test meter and connect your leads to L + E to get R1R2 on a radial circuit!

for ring you can disconnect the socket / cu front and croc clip relevant cables to create your Fig of 8 then go round with tester at outlets!

I understand how for radials as I do something similar already with a made up fly lead, but I can't get my head round how to use them for 8's on rings!
