R1 R2 test for GU 10 Class II lights - Info

When it comes to obtaining R1+R2 on lights (GU 10, Class II type) is there a work around solution without removing downlight fittings (due to decor/ceiling being messed up)?

Wander lead and take an R2 reading at the switch.

Oh yer good point, I walk about with a wander lead stabbing each screw to find the highest reading (as long as metel boxes) and then hopefully thats the last light.

Can be taken by dropping the furthest fitting and testing at joint box, but as farm electric said, must be furthest point.
Wander lead wont provide r1+r2 result.

If its a class 2 fitting then you can't take it at the fitting without dropping it.
