Hi, is it acceptable to extend the power cable to a wall radiator as in the attached picture. The cable was contained within plastic conduit.

Hi thanks. The electrician has been asked to rectify but he has refused, saying it's ok.

It's one of these where it's 'safe', but not technically compliant. All live metal is enclosed with the cover off (not like there's an exposed bus bar in there), but there's single insulation present.
All it needs to be compliant is for the trunking lid to be made removeable only 'with the use of a tool'. There are some brands of mini trunking available that come fairly close to this as they stand, if you can't get a finger under the lid at the end, but a clip of some kind, over the conduit and fixed to the wall with screws will solve the problem for all makes.

Isn’t there a reg that states that connections inside trunking should be contained within a suitable enclosure?
or was I just imagining it?

I thought it just came under the 'need to use a tool for access' rule, but maybe.
