O

Octopus

Being lazy (yes I know) but I'm so, so busy at the mo!

Need to find a 6A RCBO to fit this board, can anyone point me in the right direction?

RCBO for this CU? Crabtree CU - EletriciansForums.net

Thanks......

crabtree starbreaker. nothing else will fit. any crabtree stockist should have them. they're not obsolete.

Are those the breakers that have unshrouded screw terminals low down in the body and slightly off centre, same as the old Wylex NB? If so, not sure you'd get a 'standard' modern MCB to fit. Not sure they ever made RCBO's to fit either, but stand to be corrected. The couple of times I've taken one of those MCBs to the wholesaler I've come away with modern far eastern 60898 equivalents.

there are 2 types of breaker used on the starbreaker range, the early ones are almost identical to the wylex with the screw to attach to busbar.Later starbreakers used a tongue on the back that went into the busbar (pushfit) if its that type and you get stuck the big orange shed does them.

This board is a Crabtree SB6000 Starbreaker with the standard copper finger busbar and screw fixed protective devices (pre plug-in Starbreaker). The only RCBOs available for these early boards are 2 modules wide, looking like an MCB with an RCD stuck on the side. The MCBs and RCBOs for SB6000 boards were available in Types 1 and 2 only.

So if I get one it won't fit anyway.

Thanks for the info!
