Hello all,

Do any of you know if vynckier made RCBO'S, or if another similar brand RCBO fits a vynckier consumer unit.

Had a little look on ebay, but not having much luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers :)

If its the type of board I'm thinking of its very similar to contemporary GE and Steeple (Denmans) branded ones but just a lovely chocolatey brown colour! The later GE branded RCBOs will fit on the rail and line up with the busbar but the enclosure is physically not tall enough to terminate them , so in practice can't really be done. Interestingly Wylex NSB RCBOs are physically very similar too...anyway its all academic, doesn't comply with the 18th...!
The metalclad version is a bit taller and they will fit, did 1 myself a few months ago, obvs designed before Jan...!

Thanks for your help chaps, looks like I might have to look at some other options, as I can't seem to source one.

The circuit at hand that I am looking to add RCD protection to is the lighting circuit.

Another possible route I thought could work would be to fit a RCD spur adjacent to the CU and wire the lighting circuit through it.

The only thing I'm struggling with is regulation '531.3.6', as I can't see the RCD spur BS 7288 number listed...
