Got a old school MK sentry board that i need RCBO for!! any body know what ones will fit and will the new MK ones fit??

New MK ones definitely won't fit, but I can't for the life of me remember which ones do now. I used to just take what I had to the wholesalers and find another one with the same design...

yeah thats the problem, can only get acess to the property after 5pm and leaving CU with out a MCB may be a bit tricky!! oh well....!

suppose i will see if the wholesaler will allow me to take a few away to try and not have any restock charges..!

Take a blank, double up a lighting circuit and Bob's your Mother's brother!

oh no plenty of space..!! got 3 spare ways..!!

fitting a RCBO to LIGHTS and SOCKETS Upstairs as im modifying them! customer grumbling about extra cost but agreed..! if all else fails i will just leave them on MCB and get customer to sign a disclaimer to which i will keep a copy and will attach to MW cert about RCD/RCBO and recommend that the service is upgraded to incorporate the new Devices..!! im just --- covering! they dont want to go down route of full CU change at min as they shelled out 6k for loft conversion!! yeah im thinking same thing as every one else!! 6k for extra space but wont pay 450 for safety features!

IDEA!!!!

other idea was to utilise the existing MCB and Link it to the RCBO with a FlyLead/Tail..!! or just fit a RCD Spur Unit!!

This is what you want there is no direct link but this is the part number and most sites redirect you to a PDF catalogue.

MK 5567s MCB Retrofit kit

page 222 of this pdf left hand side hope that helps.

it seems they may have discontinued it but try the wholesalers or ebay for old stock sure there are a few still floating around.

barge pole and would not touch spring to mind...! no gurantees on ebay with 2nd hand stuff.!!

not yet!! may have persuaded customer for a Box change as cheaper long term and also covers all aspects of my work...!

given him a price he cant really refuse £300 while im on site with the loft conversion and also some fault finding and once over treatment that he has asked for! (and hope he says yes as the work would be nice. especially when BnQ have cheap CU on offer)

Volex to rescue it is then,;) I've got a customer with the same old sentry board it's coming out next week and a nice new 10 way sentry with RCBOs is going in probably made in the same factory as volex:D

Domestic customer , the CU cupboard is only 250mm wide so had no choice there are 7 rcbo's to go in so around 180-200 after mark up for the CU. Plus I'm putting in a rod as its a tt currently. gas and water bonding as they aren't there at the moment and connecting up the new shed supply then test, all in think it's coming in at around £620. forgot to add £120 for the rod install as this was an addition if EDF couldn't convert to PME :D
